In February 2014, Mini Gears hosted the Northwest Automotive Alliance’s 8th Business Excellence Networking Meeting.
Not everything we manufacture has teeth. Our machining capabilities and the type of work we undertake has changed enormously in recent years.
Mini Gears is pleased to be able to employ young people. Two of our recent apprentices are now skilled engineers and are a great asset to our gear cutting and turning sections.
Recently added in early 2015 for heavy duty turning is a brand new Leadwell LTC 35C Turning Centre with a turning diameter up to 420mm. If you speak to our engineers working with exotic steels, they will tell you very enthusiastically how the huge torque has improved the process of machining these very hard steels for safety critical valve components.
We are delighted that Mini Gears were voted Winners in 2 categories at the MWP Advanced Manufacturing Awards this year.
Mini Gears was chosen to feature in a TV programme called ‘Manufacturing – A Modern Day Approach’ that was broadcast in January and February 2012 on Executive TV.
