At our 35,000 sq. ft. factory in the UK, we have a range of both CNC and manual gear cutting, hobbing and gear shaping machines, including semi – automated CNC gear hobbing for medium to high production work for cutting gears in very small cycle times.

Gear Hobbing, Shaping & Grinding
Gear hobbing is traditionally used for cutting spur gears, helical gears, splines, sprockets and worm wheels. Gear shaping is normally used for cutting external and internal spur gears and is also used for cutting external and internal splines on shafts. In special circumstances a helical guide can be made to cut a helical gear.
