Mini Gears Shortlisted for Business of the Year (Over £10m) at the Stockport Business Awards 2026
We’re delighted to announce that Mini Gears has been shortlisted for Business of the Year (Over £10m) at the Stockport Business Awards 2026.
To be recognised alongside some of Stockport’s leading businesses is a fantastic achievement, and one that everyone at Mini Gears is extremely proud of.
60 Years of Manufacturing in Stockport
Mini Gears has been part of the Stockport business community since 1966, and 2026 marks our 60th anniversary.
From our beginnings as a local manufacturer, we have grown into an established UK precision engineering business, supplying customers across a range of demanding industries.
Today, our 35,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility is home to more than 100 machines, providing a wide range of precision manufacturing capabilities including gear cutting, gear grinding, rack cutting, CNC machining, milling and turning.
We work with customers across sectors including aerospace, defence, nuclear, stairlift and medical, rail, and motorsport, manufacturing precision gears and machined components to meet their individual requirements.
Recognition for our people and our progress
Being shortlisted for Business of the Year (Over £10m) is particularly meaningful because it recognises more than just what we manufacture. It reflects the people behind the business, the relationships we have built with our customers and suppliers, and the continued commitment to developing Mini Gears for the future.
Over the years, we have continued to invest in our machinery, technology and capabilities while retaining the knowledge and experience that comes from decades of manufacturing.
We are proud to remain a Stockport-based manufacturer and to continue growing our business from here, supplying precision-engineered components to customers across the UK and beyond.
Looking forward to the awards
The winners will be announced at the Stockport Business Awards on 8 October 2026, and we’re really looking forward to attending the evening and celebrating with the other finalists and businesses from across the region.
Naturally, we’d love to take home the award, but being selected as one of the final three businesses in the Business of the Year (Over £10m) category is already something we’re incredibly proud of.
A huge thank you to our employees, customers, suppliers and business partners for their continued support. Our success over the last 60 years would not have been possible without the people and businesses we have worked alongside throughout our journey.
We’re looking forward to celebrating on 8 October — and finding out who will be named Business of the Year (Over £10m) 2026!
Good luck to all the finalists.
